Basketball Canada Supercamp

March 14 - 16, 2026

The Kimberley Basketball Foundation (KBF) has partnered with Canada Basketball to bring a Super Clinic to Kimberley — the first event of its kind in the Kootenays. This exciting weekend includes an accredited coaching clinic, an officiating clinic, and youth talent camps for U14 at McKim and U16 at Selkirk.

 

Camp times are 12:30 – 4:30 on March 14 and 15, and 10:00 – 2:00 on March 16. All registrants will receive a Molten indoor basketball and Canada Basketball gear.

Meet The Coaches

James Blake

Coach Blake is currently an Assistant Coach with Penniusla College in Port Angeles, Washington and Co-Head Coach of the Basketball BC U18 Academy.  Coach Blake previously served as Head Coach of BC’s U17 Boys Provincial Team in 2022 and 2023, bringing home Bronze Medals both years.  Prior to Peninsula College Coach Blake served as Head Coach at NCAA Division II Simon Fraser University, as well an Assistant Coach at a number of schools including NCAA Division I UC-Irvine, Cal-State Northridge, and Idaho State.

Taylor Williams

Taylor Williams is currently Co-Head Coach of the Basketball BC U18 Academy and teaching and coaching at Collingwood School in West Vancouver.  Prior to Collingwood, Williams served as the full-time men’s assistant coach at UBC for three seasons.  Coach Williams will be representing British Columbia this summer at the U17 Canada Basketball National Championships in Regina as Associate Head Coach with this years U17 Boys team.

Matthew McKay

Matthew McKay is the Manager for Boy’s High Performance and Youth Development for Basketball BC.  Coach McKay has spent the past five seasons as Head Coach at Douglas College and previously served as an Assistant Coach at NCAA DII Simon Fraser Unversity.  McKay has led BC to success at the national level, serving as Head Coach for BC’s Bronze Medal winning U17 Boys team at the 2025 Canada Games in Newfoundland and a Silver Medal at the U15 Canada Basketball National Championships in Edmonton in 2022.
