
TOURNAMENT RULES
Welcome to the KBF Spring Classic basketball tournament schedule. Check out the exciting lineup of games and plan your visit to the tournament. Get ready to witness top-tier basketball talent in action!
Overview:
The tournament will be a 6-team tournament with 3 games per team. Each team will play one game between 4:30 and 9 pm on Friday May 2 and two games on Saturday May 3.

The tournament fee is $500 per team. To register email: kbfspringclassic@gmail.com with the team’s name, its captain and a phone number and email address.

Teams can have a roster of up to 15 players but no more than 10 between the ages of 19 and 49.

Rosters need to be submitted prior to and cannot be changed after the start of the first game. The roster should include name, age, gender and number.

Each roster must include at least 1 male and 1 female player. During play, 1 player of each gender is required to be on the court or the team will play with only 4 players.

Teams must provide matching light and dark jerseys or shirts for each player. The jerseys must either have unique numbers or the players must have their numbers written on their hand or arm.
Gameplay:

Games will each have two referees and follow FIBA rules with the following conditions:

Games will be 2 – 20 minute halves stop time with a 5 minute halftime.

All fouls on the shot will result in 1 point going to the shooting team and the ball given to the defending team. This means a team will get 1 point for a foul on an unmade shot and 1+2 or 1+3 points for a made basket.

After 8 fouls in a half all common fouls will be give one point to the other team and possession to the defending team.

The final five minutes of the game will be played with standard foul shots.

Technical and Unsportsmanlike Fouls against a team will give them 2 points and possession of the ball.

2 technical or unsportsmanlike fouls or 5 common fouls will result in a player being removed from the game.
The organizing committee reserves the right to change the rules if needed.
